SUMMARY:Women Who ROCKet in Aerospace
DESCRIPTION:The Women Who ROCKet STEM Leadership Workshop is happening on the weekend of October 24th and 25th.\n\n\n\nFriday evening is the screening of the film SALLY (our first american female astronaut) at the Alamo DraftHouse (EAST). Admission is free for everyone. Bring your family!\nSaturday is for young women (grades 6-12) who are participating in the Women Who ROCKet STEM Leadership workshop. Participants will hear from inspiring women leaders (including our special guest from the NASA White Sands Test Facility)\, participate in team building challenges and then build and launch their own rockets! The folks at Hal’s Hobby Shop will also launch two high powered rockets.\n\nParticipants may join one or both events\, however\, Saturday is only for young women in grades 6-12. A Pizza lunch\, drinks and welcome snacks will be provided on Saturday and the participants will also receive some very cool SWAG and T-Shirts. This full day workshop on Saturday will take place at the Horizon City Rocketry Club.
