SUMMARY:El Paso del Norte Proud: Open Call to Artists
DESCRIPTION:This summer the Museum will be hosting El Paso del Norte Proud\, a community showcase celebrating the culture\, people\, places and landscapes that make life in our region so unique. \nEl Paso del Norte Proud is open to all artists ages 12 and up who have work that celebrates life in the El Paseo del Norte community in all mediums. Artists are invited to enter work that showcases their love for the region. Work that highlights the people and places that have shaped our culture is encouraged. Art that explores the natural beauty of the region or its history is also welcome. Entries can be submitted in person\, via mail or digitally on Google Forms. DESCRIPTION:🗺️All are welcome on Friday\, June 27 through Sunday\, June 29 from 12:00 pm- 4:00 pm to our Cultural Celebration Weekend to view Sue Koenig’s Window to the World: Africa and Middle East Gallery and some specially selected items from the rest of the collection. \n🧭This behind the scene look will explore the other 5 regions represented in Sue’s collection and will only be available this weekend. The Cultural Celebration Weekend is free and open to the public. \n🗺After thirty years of world travel\, 110 countries\, and over 10\,000 items later\, she started Window to the World\, an international\, interactive museum in Arkansas and Colorado. When she was unable to secure another building\, the collection remained in storage for eighteen years. The collection now finds its new beginnings at the International Museum of Art. \nAsk about becoming a sponsor of this exhibit.
