STARTUP Labs: Idea Lab
The MCA Innovation Center Spring 2020 entrepreneur training program is here! The MCA Innovation Center presents a new entrepreneurship training offering: STARTUP Labs at the MCA! STARTUP Labs provides a structured curriculum that will help you bring your company from the idea stage to launch. Participants will gain fundamental knowledge and tools, establish a common framework and language for innovation, and begin to create peer support networks.
All classes are held at the Cardwell Collaborative on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You can sign up for all 6 courses at a discounted rate or register for each session individually. And if you are an Innovation Center Company or a member of BIO El Paso-Juarez classes are free!
The Idea Lab session, the first session of the series, serves as an introduction to the fundamentals of Lean Startup, a methodology to evaluate startup ideas. It will provide tools to work through a startup idea, understand the customer's needs, and determine the minimal viable product. Topics to be covered include:

The class will be taught by Nancy Lowery, Director of Accelerator Programs at the Medical Center of the Americas Foundation. Nancy has a BA from St. Lawrence University and an MA from UT El Paso and has extensive experience supporting startup operations and growth.
